confirmation class

Confirmation seeks to give the youth a systematic overview of the faith - our identity, our history and heritage, our practices, and our beliefs. This will include both our heritage and practices as a Christian community and as a United Methodist Family, as well as our basic beliefs and commitments. In addition, youth will learn what it means to live the Christian life and be involved in the mission of the church in the world.

Teacher & Student

mentors

A strong emphasis of confirmation is the mentor relationship. Adults with a mature faith help set for youth an example of how to grow in faith. They help offer support encouragement and talk with confirmands about tough faith questions. Mentors

do not need to be Bible experts or trained theologians. They are faithful adults that can speak genuinely about their faith journey and accompany young people on their own journeys.

commmitment

We currently meet (most) Sunday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm (September to May) in the Youth Lounge.

Confirmation Sunday will be held on May 8th during the 10:30am service.
